#9 Classmate Blog Critique
I really enjoyed reading Kinley Shankles’ blog. As much as I mess with her about doing the same project as me, I genuinely appreciated getting to see how someone else viewed one of my favorite creators. Her perspective added a new layer of insight, and it was refreshing to see the same subject through a different lens.
One thing I have to give Kinley major props for is how skilled she is at choosing intriguing and trending topics. Her blog kept my attention the whole time because she knows exactly what people want to read about. I didn’t know a single thing about Yellowjackets before hearing her talk about it, but she made it sound so interesting that I decided to give it a try—and I loved it. I even found myself recommending it to other people afterward, which speaks volumes about how effective her content really is.
Another thing I appreciated was the links and sources she included throughout her blog. They added great insight into what she was talking about and made her points feel more relatable and grounded. It’s clear she does her research, and it helps the reader connect more with the content.
Overall, Kinley’s blog is not only informative but also super engaging. She has a real talent for connecting with her audience and making her topics feel relevant and exciting.
I really enjoyed going through Haven’s blog and hearing her present her projects. One of the things that stood out to me most was how she chose topics that reflect her personal beliefs and who she is. It gave her blog a unique and authentic voice that made it feel more meaningful and genuine.
I also have to shout out the overall aesthetic of her blog—it looks amazing. Everything from the layout to the color choices gives off a creative and clean vibe, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. You can tell she put real effort into how it looked.
What I appreciated most, though, was her presentation style. Haven has a great way of making her presentations feel casual and fun, almost like you’re just having a conversation with her. It didn’t feel overly formal or stiff, which made it a lot easier to stay engaged and follow along. She brought a sense of personality and energy to her work that made it genuinely fun to learn from her.
Overall, Haven’s blog and projects were both visually appealing and full of personal meaning. She knows how to communicate her ideas in a way that’s approachable, engaging, and easy to connect with.
